Networking Neighs with Anwen Cooper of Get Fruitful Marketing

Socially distanced Networking Networking Neighs networking with horses

The sun was shining and it felt great to be outdoors and meet people in person! I, like so many others no doubt, have been attending many virtual networking meetings and it was like a breath of fresh air. The herd was eager to be with people too!

Networking Neighs networking with horsesI can’t wait for the next meeting on the 9th July 2021. And maybe the restrictions have eased a bit more and more people can enjoy this rather unusual networking event.

Hope to see you there!
Best wishes
Barbara

Becci Godfrey of HorseSense UK says:

Wow, what a glorious day to enjoy our first Networking Neighs of the year!

The last year of lockdown’s, virtual meetings and lack of connection has been difficult for many, the horses included. An outdoor networking meeting with horses was the perfect antidote for people to show up as their authentic selves and enjoy some in-person connection time.

As usual, the horses brought their individual flavour, joining conversations and asking for fusses. With a fully international group (France, Germany, UK and Portugal), it was great to see the language of heartfelt connection is the same no matter where you come from.

Huge thanks to our guest speaker Anwen Cooper of Get Fruitful Marketing who wowed us all with her insight into the history of marketing. The words campaign, target and strategy won’t ever land the same again after Anwen shared how they were all the ‘language of war’. For all those that have shied away from marketing as we’ve not enjoyed being on the receiving end of aggressive campaigns that are more about sales than service, the insight was illuminating.

Networking Neighs is back on Friday 9th July. Tickets are available here:  www.networkingneighs.eventbrite.co.uk

In the meantime, check out the HorseSense UK Be-ing Herd sessions for ways to help process the pandemic. Using the Listening Circle format and in the presence of horses, these sessions are all about helping people to find themselves and move forwards after difficult experiences.

#YearOfTheHorse – Julia Felton Business HorsePower

This month I met Julia Felton, another lovely lady, who runs a company called Business HorsePower.

I managed to get a short glimpse into one of the courses on Unbridled Success: Business Lessons from the Herd that she ran on a yard close by. Her international client came all the way from Germany for her weekend course.

Not only do clients travel from all over to meet up with Julia, Julia herself is known to travel the whole of the UK and even further afield.

So much attention on success in business today focuses on what you do, but as Julia has experienced the real key to success is actually how you show up. She refers to this as the Secret Energy of Business. You can have all the best strategies and tactics but if you don’t show up aligned and congruent with your message, then clients will not be attracted to you.  Julia partners with horses to help you gain valuable insights into how you show up as a business leader. What kind of energy and presence do you emit? Trust me, as I witnessed, if the horse senses any mis-alignment then he simply won’t come and interact with you. And it’s the same in business. Potential clients know instinctively if you are being a fraud and don’t believe what you are telling them. However, when you are engaged, curious and passionate about your business and genuinely interested in the other party they will be drawn to you.  And it’s the same with the horses.

It was a real pleasure to meet Julia and fascinating to witness how much horses can teach us about business. I hope to see her again soon, when she is down South again.

If you’d like to explore more about how horses can develop your leadership skills you might want to grab a free copy of a chapter from Julia’s book Unbridled Success: How The Secret Lives of Horses Can Impact Your Leadership, Teamwork and Communication Skills. Sneak Peek ~ Sissi

As promised earlier, here is the sneak peek of “Sissi” the black Newfoundland x Bernese Mountain Dog that I took in Germany.

In my dog portrait photography I enjoy showing the character or the traits of my clients dog/s. These images portray what Sissi likes doing best: sleeping!

#DogPhotoBlog ~ Week 20

This week’s Dog Photography Blog has been taken a bit further afield to Royal Tunbridge Wells.

I was very honoured  to be asked to take images of this stunning all black Newfoundland/Bernese Mountain Dog cross in Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany!

Her name is “Sissi” and generally speaking she loves sleeping! You wouldn’t know from this picture, would you?

The first of the two days I was there was a complete wash out but luckily the second day was much nicer with lots of sunshine in the afternoon.

Big thank you’s to Katja for booking the dog portrait photography session and to her daughter Franziska who was the perfect assistant on the day. I will also blog a sneak peek image later in the week. Look out for it.
