I love the precious puppy stage! They are so tiny! This stage of their life passes far too quick and you can see them grow on a daily basis. It is great to have a fantastic photographic keepsake of it. I had the most wonderful Dog Photo Shoot Experience this with very inquisitive lady who got up to all sorts in her garden.
It was a very sunny day and we had to choose the areas where the pictures were taken very carefully. We made the most of the shadows available though.
To put my clients wishes first, I always check if the owners allow me to post a Sneak Peek, which luckily they did.
Isn’t she adorable?
This coming Sunday the 17th March 2013 from 11:00 am – 3:30 pm, the local charity ChYps is running their Scruffs at Honnington Companion Dog Show at Honnington Farm Gardens, Vauxhall Lane, Southborough, TN4 0XD. Last year the event had to be cancelled due to the bad weather we had. This year however, even if the weather does not behave itself, the event will take place in the Indoor School!
Come and join in the fun with various categories for both adult and child dog handlers to enter. I am looking forward to the Southern Golden Retriever Team display team, at 12.45 pm. Stalls and BBQ food are available throughout the day.
I am really excited to be taking dog portraits on the day. After the event I will upload a Gallery of the photographs taken on the day. 20% of the profit raised will be going to ChYps.
Hopefully the weather is going to be kind to us! I am looking forward to meeting you on the day!
As already mentioned in my previous Dog Photo Blog post (week 48), I have another dog portrait of the stunning Golden Retriever “Cally” for you.
This Dog Portrait Photography shoot came about, because some great colleagues of the dog owner put in a collection at work as a birthday present and bought a Gift Certificate from me.
Cally’s owner was super chuffed and traveled from Maidstone to meet me.
Don’t you just love the gorgeous autumn colours and the frosty ground in this image?
Sneak Peek “Cally”
Brrrrr, wasn’t it cold towards the end of this week? I hope you all wrapped up warm when walking your dog/s!
It was beautifully frosty in Tonbridge, so I thought I show it off in this weeks Dog Photo Blog as it captured the essence of this season so well. In this dog portrait photograph you can see “Cally” a gorgeous two year old Golden Retriever.
Her owners and I had a great time on our walk together! I will share another dog portrait of “Cally” in the Sneak Peek blog, so do look out for it.
Week 48 “Cally”
This years project called #DogPhotoBlog will consist of a weekly blog (52 in total) of dogs who I have not previously photographed.
Naturally all images will be professionally edited before displaying them. These images will then also be displayed in the section #DogPhotoBlog showing the latest image first.
Week 1 – “Percy”
“Percy” is a very beautiful and graceful Golden Retriever. His coat is very shiny and super soft. The pictures were taken at Hargate Wood in Royal Tunbridge Wells on a crisp morning walk with local dog walker Carolyn Gordon of Waggatails. “Percy” is currently on holiday (boarding) with Waggatails and even went on holiday with them to Devon over New Year.
Carolyn was walking 4 dogs that morning, accompanied by another local dog walker who also walked 4 dogs. It was quite challenging to focus my attention on “Percy”, who I had not previously met or photographed, with all the other friendly dogs getting in the way. All 8 dogs were well behaved and had a great time together.
I am looking forward to meeting up with you again soon.
#DogPhotoBlog Week1 “Percy”
With the yearly convention of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP in short) in January 2012 nearing, I thought I share my Bronze award winners of 2011 with you. I entered the dog portrait image with the three Husky puppies in February and the golden Retriever puppy in November. These awards are greatly sought after in the world of photographers and the judges have many high quality images to choose from in various categories. Next year I will devote more time to enter the SWPP’s monthly competitions, and not just random months as I did this year. The excitement of finding out if your image has scored an award is like opening presents at Christmas!

They do what they love best: Sniffing, Running, Chewing sticks! I had the pleasure to photograph these two lovely dogs. Dandy the black Labradoodle and Sam a Golden Retriever. I love the clarity and the detail of their furs. We made the most of the great weather we had recently for this dog portrait photography session. We are so lucky that Royal Tunbridge Wells offers so many great places for dog walkers. I will post more images on my business Facebook page www.facebook.com/pages/Just-Dog-Photography/191845977556765
